Pray for Our Seminarian, Nicholas Hickman

Nicholas Hickman, Basilica veteran Altar Server and Youth Group member, has completed his first year of seminary at Conception Abbey (Fr. Carter's alma mater)to become a priest. After completing his first year, Nicholas wrote:

Year one of Seminary in the bag.

This year has been one of the best years of my life. I have grown so much both in my love for Christ and as a person.

I am thankful for all of the friends I have made this year and I look forward to spending more time with them in the fall.

Also, a big thank you to my family and friends back home who have encouraged me and supported me during this time.

I am thrilled to announce that this semester I made the Academic Dean's List. This is a first for me and is truly an honor. It is amazing what one can achieve when their heart is in it.

Lastly I would like to thank the Diocese of Knoxville for this opportunity to discern God's call in my life at Conception.
