The Catholic Motherhood group at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Varallo Parish Hall. The meetings are from 10:00-11:30a.m.
The purpose of the group is to encourage mothers of all ages in our vocation of Motherhood while strengthening our knowledge and love of our Catholic faith. We welcome all mothers to our group, regardless of age or number of children. We meet at the church to discuss various Catholic topics (Saints, prayers, devotions, etc.) while our children are cared for in the nursery, located next to the church.
Beginning at our 10am meeting on August 14, 2018, the Catholic Motherhood ministry will begin studying Scott Hahn’s book: The First Society: The Sacrament of Matrimony and the Restoration of the Social Order, which can be ordered on amazon.com.
We ask a small donation of money for the childcare workers at our morning meeting, who keep the nursery. We take turns providing coffee and a light snack at each meeting. We also bring items from home, that we wish to donate. A donation table is provided for the mothers to take anything they need and what is not taken is given to a charity organization.
Also, the Catholic Motherhood ministry is offering a new study for moms of all ages, entitled, “Momnipotent," facilitated by Sandy Pricer, on the 4th Tuesday of each month. The first study will begin on August 28th from 7-9:30pm, in the St. Dominic Religious Education building. Please bring a snack and/or drink to share if you are able.
All mothers who are parishioners, visitors, and friends are welcome to join us for the Motherhood group activities.
