At the baptism of our children we promise to educate them in the tenets of our faith. Here at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul we take that promise very seriously. The goal of catechesis is to foster a living, conscious and active faith in Christians of all ages. RE classes are held August through May starting at age 3 through 12th grade. Classes are held on Sundays from 10:15 - 11:15.
We do not charge for our classes, however, with that in mind we do ask for help from the parents. We need help in the form of providing snacks or funds in which to purchase snacks, and helping out in the classes when needed.
Any child in 6th grade or higher is eligible for Confirmation.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
This year we are starting a new program for our 3, 4 and 5 year olds called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This is a Montessori-based program for children that provides a simple, synthesized, profound involvement with the Gospel and with the liturgical life of the Church.
With this program we are needing quite a few supplies that we could use help with. Below is a list of items we could use to help set up our Atrium. Donations can be placed in the marked box in the vestibule of the church. If you would like to make a monetary donation you can mail or drop that off at the parish office. Just add CGS Atrium in the memo line. We can also use help throughout the year making copies and other prep work.
