Pro-Life Ministry

The Pro-Life movement in Tennessee paves the way for a Great Awakening on the evils of abortion.  Leading the way in legislation protecting the unborn and women, Tennessee Right to Life is also changing hearts and minds.  This film presents commonly used justifications for abortion and factual information needed to arm all who want to respond in protecting the unborn.  The fight to protect life is not over until abortion is unthinkable.

Recognizing the 49th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision by the US Supreme Court that allowed for abortion across our country, we have been promoting several pro-life events here in Chattanooga. 

• The Greater Chattanooga Right to Life sponsored the First Annual March for Life in Chattanooga, on Saturday, January 22nd 

• There was a Students for Life Rally and March on Sunday, January 23rd. Fr. Carter attended and led prayers.

• Friday, Jan. 21, after the 12pm Mass, our St. Ambrose Homeschool Co-op placed crosses on the rectory lawn and prayed a Rosary in honor of the many babies who have been aborted. Jan. 29 after the 12pm Mass, the crosses will be ceremonially removed. 

• The weekend of Jan. 22-23, we started a Baby Bottle drive for monetary donations to benefit Catholic Charities Pregnancy Help Center. Return your donations by January 31. 

• The Basilica is also sponsoring a pro-life billboard on McCallie Avenue.

In thanksgiving for the babies saved from abortion,
